Which online broker do you use to buy stock? I've heard of Zecco and was wondering if anyone had any experience with them.

I have a SchwabOne account. It happens to ties to my high interest checking account as well. I like it and tools on the site pretty well, but I don't make trades very often.

What do I use?

E*Trade.

Simple, fantastic support both on and off the site, good research sections, and an iPhone app that works very nicely.

Oh, and SmartMoney (the magazine) rated them the #1 Online Broker.

Zecco is good if you are looking for a discount broker with low commissions, low minimum balances, and if you are Web savvy. When I called representatives on the phone, sometimes the accents were hard to understand.

SogoTrade has even lower commissions ($3), but they have a higher account minimum to open an account: $500.

If you're not looking to do many trades, sharebuilder now owned by ING works well for me. I have contributions and trades setup to automatically purchase stock on the 3rd tuesday of the month and I believe the transaction rate is $4 a trade which is quite good. You can also make real time trades it'll cost more. It really depends on your investing style, since you're asking the question I assume you're a beginner and I think sharebuilder works quite well for those just starting out.
